Photo Project

I am the kind of mom that has photographs of her kids everywhere. On the walls, on the end tables, in frames, albums, digital albums etc. There are definitely way too many around the house. Seeing as we are moving, and doing the blended family thing, I need to be sensitive to everyone and not cover every surface with pics of my kids.

The photos that I have had up on the walls – some have been up for over ten years and are my favourites. What can I do to preserve these wonderful pictures but not display them? Bear in mind I am not that crafty.

Thanks in advance….

Put the pics of the kids up in the master bedroom.

This is what they invented scanners for.

  3. In their room? Mabye a collage? Wow…lots to think about.

  4. G6 says:

    a) Get thyself an *awesome* digital frame and throw hundreds of pics on it – from ALL branches of the family. I LOVE MINE.

    b) I make Snapfish (choose your own photo company) Calendar each year with photos from the previous year. They don’t limit the number of photos you use, so go to town. Then save the calendars from year to year behind the new one.

You have a couple of technology options. As G6 says, you can scan them into a digital picture frame. If you don’t want the expense, you can scan them into a directory and make them the screen saver on your computer. The screen saver will play them as a slide show. It’s very cool.

I don’t see the harm in displaying some of the more important pictures to you in your new home. just try to balance them with pics of the other kids and pics of everyone together. I mean, how can you NOT hang the one of all the boys with their heads in a circle?! that one is priceless.
Also, kids pics are not for the bedroom- TYVM… Maybe a few nice ones of you and KoD, but I know you feel the same way about that.
