I did have the best of intentions!

Today I was going to start a new daily schedule – designed to maximize my efficiency and time. It was to be:

–        Get the boys off to school.

–        Off to the gym for a killer workout

–        Home to shower and eat breakfast

–        And then a full day of work at home

We all know that Yiddish saying – Mann tracht und Gott lacht – man plans and God laughs.

So I got to the gym,  I did my 15 minutes on the elliptical, power walked my two laps, did 3 sets of lat pull downs and 3 sets of bicep curls, did another power lap, and was just about to subject myself to some stomach crunches from hell, when the KoD texted me.

The school nurse had called. The ChatterBox had thrown up and needed to go home. It was 8.30! School hadn’t even started yet!! Apparently he got off the bus, got to class, and threw up. Poor love. I picked him up and he looks ok, a little pale, and by the time we got home he was smiling a little.

He is now tucked up in his jammies on the sofa being overloaded with Ima’s TLC. I have a mountain of work to do – hopefully I will at least get some of it done.

Let’s shoot for starting this new routine tomorrow….I can hope, can’t I?
