Rosh Hashana Menus

This year Rosh Hashana starts Wednesday night, ends Friday night, which means we have three days of meals to plan.

Here is my tentative plan – the idea is to keep it as simple as possible so it’s less work for me.

First Night – Wednesday:

Challah
Simanim plate
Gefilte Fish
Brisket
Drunken Sweet Potatoes
Steamed Green Beans
Compote

First Day – Thursday:

Challah
Strawberry Soup
Lasagna
Green Salad
Ice Cream / Pavlovas / Fresh Fruit

Second Night – Thursday:

Challah
Simanim Plate
Gefilte Fish
Chicken / Turkey Breast Roulade
Roasted Herbed Red Potatoes
Grilled Veggies & Carrot Muffins
Compote / Fresh Fruit

Second Day – Friday:

Bagels
Scrambled Eggs / French Toast
Fresh Berries
Dips & Spreads
Coffee

Friday Night:

Challah
Chicken Soup with Matzah Balls
Lemon & Pepper Grilled Chicken
Potato Kugel
Veggies / Salads
Sorbet

Shabbat Day:

Challah
Cheeses
Dips
Spreads
Egg Salad
Salads & Fresh Veggies
Coffee & Kokosh Cake
