Dear cute kid at Costco

I was at Costco one night last week, possibly Wednesday. Your mom was pushing your 3 year old self in the shopping cart, and you were singing happily at the top of your lungs. I saw you and thought to myself how totally adorable you were.  Took me a day or two to realize that the song I had stuck in my head was thanks to you. What song were you singing? In the middle of a very hot and humid July? Feliz Navidad.

So, other folk out there, if you see a bescarfed or bewigged lady belting out Feliz Navidad as she does her errands, just know she is suffering from severe earworms…

Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Feliz Navidad, Prospero Año y Felicidad…..

(and, yes, I am aware what holiday the song is about….)

Ha!! My kids finally stopped singing “Dip the apple in the honey” and replaced it with “mah nishtana” around Pesach time. It was rather confusing trying to explain around Chanukah time that the song they were singing (that changed tunes 3 times, and was half gibberish) was for a completely different holiday. :)

If you need a non-denominational replacement, I find La Bamba quite catchy. All you need is a little bit of humor ;)

I am so sorry. That really is an evil earworm.

The cuteness, however, is just too. damn. much. I could probably eat that kid up!
